I understand your point of view, as same as i do understand the decision of the resort.
I will try my best not to sound like an asshole here, but tell you how i see it and what i've heard from other people (including Thai).
Personally i prefer to pay a bit more per night, just to avoid Indian people.
It might be this resort had some issues in the past with Indian people…
Although this resort is in the price range were you can expect a lot of Indians..
Not to generalize, but most Indian visitors are not "high quality" tourists..
This is because of some certain things, including behavior, manners and etiquette.
It's the music of a majority that sets the tone, so don't take this too personal.
Beside this all, Indians are seen as the new "cheap charlies".
As you see more people talk about here, they mostly come in groups.
They literally want group discount on everything..
Some examples;
Asking at a bar how much a beer cost, then ask for discount because they are with 8 people,
when they get discount they only order 2 or 3 beers for the whole group.
Same for a "open taxi" (Pattaya), i have seen them asking for discount for a group of 12..
While there were already 5 people sitting in the back of the taxi (of course to blaim this on the taxi driver) they hopped in with 12 man, just annoying the people who were already sitting inside, goes from too much staring, to just sitting on peoples feet. (They all did not smell that fresh as well)
Then when going out of the taxi, not paying enough.. So the taxi driver has to go out of the taxi and yelling at them to come back..
And the list goes on..
People talk,and it goes around very fast, so this is the image many people create for innocent people as well.
Thailand is different. Everyone who is not Thai is a foreigner. As such they don’t have the same rights. I have seen signs saying no Israelis. Usually because the owner has experienced unacceptable behaviour in the past.
There are hundreds of hotels and resorts in Pattaya, go where you get respect.
Also majority of the Indians comes in groups. I've seen in many hotel Indians shouting in the lobby in the middle of the night
Its not only there at that resort. I was talking with many locals and taxi drivers. More and more of thai say that its too much indian and chinese there. I been there many times. Look at the boats. Who take them for trips outside pattaya beach? Am not racist, but I get sad when I watch how dirty the beach are….in some cultures and countries they dont care about to clean up after them self.
India People normalt use the pool as a washing maschine, they Are loud and rude. This great News, I Will stay here next time.

I may be totally off factually in my opinion I was under the impression that if it is a privately owned resort the owner can do what he pleases regardless of any law/policy the country may have regarding "preference" to customers however, only if there IS NOT any money or assistance from the government given to the resort /owner. I do not agree with the policy this resort enforces but would I let it affect my travel plans ? absolutely NOT. many more places to stay.
The owner must be a real piece of work. I'm guessing he had a very bad experience with a prior visitor at the resort that was from India.??? I'am sure it would be hard to prove in court. That is a whole big can of worms. Just my opinion, what do I know? NOTHING! except for I would NOT stay there. Thanks for sharing.👍
It is not racist jes some one try to do bisssness with certain race only it is their right and every man right….i m a chinesse when i travel or go somewhere i prefer to be around faces that look familiar ..i feel save not racist…..if i go to bar i prefer to step into one that have chinesse or korean ..japanesse inside that make me feel more comfortable not racist….

The owner obviously is westerner and they all have to fuck off very soon from Thailand as the Government has stopped renewing their visas as most of them think they own the Country.

This is sad. The place itself looks very good for the price, the location is unbeatable, but racism is a no go.
