I've not been here since Sept'18 but it looks so different. Did it used to be covered over by netting or have big umbrellas? I feel like you could not see the BTS station when you were seated. Something looks different lol

Update:
Just went to the Beer Garden last 2 Fridays. Food is still awesome as ever. However, I can clearly see the impact of COVID as there are lesser foreigners / tourists around. I believe it would be busy again soon due to the reopening of borders. Really happy that I get to see and feel On Nut again after 3 years.

I have a condo right next to Best Beef and go there every so often, it isn’t as busy as it was a couple of years ago so it is a good time to go there. Great place to live, not to far from Asoke but far enough.
I have to check this place out if i finally find a way from bts to lotus‘'
Onnut is a fantastic area. Could you go a bit further along to the punnawithi and udom suk area? Could check out 101 the third place which is relatively new.
I loved the beer garden that was in that location 5-6 years ago. Then they built the new condo. I never warmed up to this beer garden. It is a totally different atmosphere. (not gritty enough). I now go to Kamla and Cheap Charlies fairly regularly. Yes, everyone should go to Best Beef.
Nice opening shot of that unique azure- blue sky of Bangkok. Only Paris with its silver-blue sky can compete with the heavens over Bangkok.

Wow so much changed. I still remember when On Nut was the last skytrain station like maybe 20 years ago. I'm happy to see many areas are developing for good. I Wonder if the train parking lot building is still there

Lovely video, I have many happy memories of Cheap Charlie's from 'back in the day' as I'm sure many visitors/expats do, but I don't think it will recreate the same atmosphere the old place did in soi 11, in that little 'hipster' enclave. There was something special about that old location near Suk 11, watching the TEFL set 'playing expats', giving backpacker ladies from the hostel the 'glad eye' before moving on to more nefarious parts of town…
